The crucial role of Script Coverage

Why your completed script should look great

Make sure it is professionally written with no spelling or grammar mistakes. You want your script to be professional level so whoever you send it to has the best first impression of your work. A great way to ensure your script is up to par is to get professional script coverage. This is where a company will go through your entire script start to finish and dissect it to give you the best possible feedback. Script coverage will go over everything, from your story, character breakdown, dialogue, marketability, rating suggestions and everything in between.

This is the perfect way to give your script the edge you need while pitching. Cinema Life offers full script coverage and there are also other companies that do the same type of service.

Ideally, when you pitch you will have a script completed but this is not a requirement. If you do not have a completed script, you will want to make sure your pitch is very detailed and give as much info as possible.

These are just some tips to get you ready before pitching your project. You can read more about this and other topics on how to improve your your film or screenplay pitch in our E-Book, the Pitching Best Practices Guide, also included in our newest release, the Annual Submission Pass Membership!
