Film Pitch ATL is Atlanta’s best networking event for the film industry. Watch 3 filmmakers pitch their upcoming projects to our panel of film industry experts!

Panelists offer their feedback after each pitch and there is an audience Q&A after so you can ask these professionals your questions about the industry.

Join us for the evening if you’re a potential investor, actor, above or below the line crew, film business professional, film enthusiast, or just curious to learn more about the ATL film scene.

Meet Our October Panelists

Vanessa Stewart

Actress, producer, and writer Vanessa Stewart is the Chief Creative Officer for Georgia production company StoryMill Entertainment. She is the co-producer for the upcoming Tim Blake Nelson film, Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, filmed in Columbus. Vanessa is also the Executive Producer for French Stewart’s office comedy The Hot Temp, due to shoot in Atlanta November of 2025. As a producer/writer, Vanessa has several TV projects in development: Storyville with Taylor Hackford at Leonardo DiCaprio’s company Appian Way. Real M*thr, a show about a group of older friends encountering motherhood for the first time- a finalist for the Sundance TV workshop. In addition, she’s produced and written for the Women’s film anthology Girls Girls Girls which included SXSW award winning film director Tracie Laymon.

Niki Sterner

Niki Sterner is an actor, comedian, writer, and award-winning director known for her bubbly charm, raw vulnerability, and unfiltered humor. In 2024, she performed on over 50 stages, blending stand-up, storytelling, and improv while embarking on a Courage Quest—facing fears like holding snakes and riding motorcycles to prove that fear, when embraced, becomes fuel for growth. As creator of The Bigger Life Community, she helps ambitious creatives transform fear into a turbo boost for bold action, pushing creative boundaries both on stage and in life. Niki is currently writing The Confidence Shortcut, a book to share her proven system for helping performers use the power in fear to step into the spotlight. She is also releasing the Confidence Shortcut podcast in May of 2025, to have conversations that share tools and takeaways to live the life you were meant for.

Alex Javo

Alex Javo began his career in 2017 as an extra on films like TAG and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, later working as a stand-in on Cobra Kai and The Gifted. After signing with his first agent in 2019, he gained recognition for his drive and professionalism. Seeking greater creative fulfilment, Alex began writing and directing his own projects, including the award-winning short Enzo. In 2024, he directed his first feature, Ambrogio: The First Vampire, distributed by X4 Pictures and celebrated on the festival circuit. With over 37 festival awards and credits in 26 feature films, Alex has established himself as a rising director, writer, and producer dedicated to championing independent film in Atlanta.
