How to Fill Out your Submission Profile

YOUR FIRST IMPRESSION TO FESTIVALS
Now that you are ready to submit your film, you are at one of the most important steps of your festival journey: filling out your submission profile. It is incredibly important to fill out this profile as much as you can because this is your first impression to the festival and their judges. It is very important to have all of these items ready BEFORE you submit to festivals because the last thing a festival director wants to do is chase down 50+ filmmakers for their posters when they have social media posts that need to be ready.
Having a complete submission showcases the professionalism of your entire team
Here are some of the items you should include in your submission:
• Synopsis
• Poster
• Director’s Headshot/ Bio
• Still Images

Your Submission Profile is different than your overall submitter profile on FilmFreeway

Keep a digital folder that is easily accessible by your team that includes all of this info so you can have it on hand while you are submitting to festivals and promoting your project.
These are just some tips to get you ready before submitting your finished project. You can read more about this and other topics on how to improve your festival submissions in our E-Book, the Film Festival Submitter’s Guide, also included in the Ultimate Filmmaker Bundle and in our newest release, the Annual Submission Pass Membership!
